Welcoming Frederick 4/29/2017 8:30am-5:00pm

posted Feb 13, 2017, 3:04 PM by Brian Walker   [ updated Feb 13, 2017, 3:16 PM ]

Welcoming Frederick is an annual one-day conference presented by The Frederick Center and FreeState Justice dedicated to providing professionals with the tools necessary to build affirming communities and schools for LGBTQ youth and adults. Welcoming Frederick 2017 takes place at the Frederick Community College Conference Center on Saturday, April 29, 2017. The venue is located at 7932 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, Maryland, 21702, Building E. Last year we brought together approximately 100 youth and professionals; this year we are seeking to draw 125 people to the event.

While the costs associated with presenting an event like this remain at market rates, registration fees are kept low to accommodate the budgets of teachers, nurses, and other professionals whom we want to attend this program. We rely on help from affirming businesses and individuals to help us make the program a break-even activity.

Please consider being a sponsor and helping us continue to educate our allies on how to be affirming to LGBT students, patients, clients, and others who interact with professionals in education, medicine, mental health, city and county government, and other fields.  Sponsorship form attached.
