The Frederick Center is hosting a meeting at the C. Burr Artz Library
Trust Conference Room at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015, to continue work on
a new project, “Reclaiming Frederick’s LGBTQ History.” Join us to contribute
your knowledge and experience about the LGBTQ leaders and events in Frederick’s
past. The Frederick Center is collecting information to post on a public
website to help celebrate and support all members of the community. In addition
to collecting the information for posting to a website, The Frederick Center
hopes to host an exhibit of artifacts from our community’s history for the 2016
Pride Festival, and to catalog the location and identity of these important
artifacts. So, if you were an organizer of a local LGBTQ group, helped prepare a
newsletter of events for the LGBTQ community, ran for office or supported an
LGBTQ candidate for office, or just participated in organized events in the
Frederick and surrounding areas, please come share your stories!
The Frederick County Public Library does not
promote or endorse the views of the program sponsors or presenters.
