Frederick Pride

Saturday June 23, 2018 : 11am-6pm
Carroll Creek Linear Park,
Downtown Frederick MD (between Market & Carroll Streets)
Did you enjoy 2017 Frederick Pride? It was our biggest and best yet, about 8,000 attendees.  And we have some great new ideas coming for 2018.  Mark your calendar for 6/23/2018.

Sponsors & Donors provide the monetary funds, donate products/services and provide auction items that make this event and all the programs of the Frederick Center possible.  From support groups, to the annual Welcoming Frederick educational conference, to keeping communication lines functioning, to providing dozens of LGBTQ 101 training sessions to other organizations.  Check out the major sponsors on this page, or see our extensive Business Directory. It takes a community to make a community.

General Pride:
General organization (office):

Frederick Pride is celebrating its 7th year in 2018! This year’s festival takes place Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., at Carroll Creek Linear Park in beautiful, historic downtown Frederick.  This year we are anticipating up to 7,000 attendees and over 100 participating organizations!

Be part of the action! We have booth spaces for for-profit organizations and table space for non-profits.   The main stage will be at the amphitheater, near the Carroll Street entrance.  A second entertainment area will be at the opposite end of the park near Market Street.  The festival will extend all the way down the creek to East Street this year, with children’s activities and boat rides on the creek! Attendee admittance is free.  Families and allies welcome; this is a community event!

The crowd loves downtown, with many newcomers making their first visit to Frederick specifically because of this event.  All attendees receive a Frederick Pride rainbow bracelet from welcome stations at each major entry to the park.  Businesses can sign up to offer discounts/specials to anyone wearing one of these bracelets; this is our "Buy Pride" program and is free to any area business.  Be known as an ally.  Corporate sponsors are also sought to name various parts of the festival with your company banner.

There will be bands, drag shows, DJ, dancing, and more live acts at the amphitheater.  At the Market Street venue there will be smaller acts, drag performances, DJ, dancing, and more.  There will be organized youth group activities in the area near East Street as well as fun for the younger kids.  The program will be full -- there is no way to see it all.  The food court will be located above the amphitheater, with the beer and wine area next to it.  Be sure to visit the official TFC Pride merchandise booth at the top of the amphitheater for all your Pride paraphernalia: shirts, flags, and more! Proceeds support all the programs of our local LGBTQ community center.
