Peer-to-peer support is the foundation by which The Frederick Center built its organization. We offer programs for all ages and backgrounds!

Frederick Pride!
The Frederick Center organizes the annual Frederick Pride celebration. Pride provides an environment for LGBTQ+ people, allies, and families to interact and celebrate LGBTQ+ pride. It serves as the means to coordinate the actions of our community for the coming year. Frederick Pride started in 2012 with an attendance of about 300, and it surpassed 30,000 in 2023. Frederick Pride 2025 will be held on Saturday, June 28th from 11:00am – 6:00pm!

Trans Day of Visibility 2026
YOU'RE INVITED to our 2026 Trans Joy Picnic to celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV)! This will be our biggest and best celebration yet! To show our pride in our trans community, connect with friends, and cultivate trans joy and resilience, we hope to see you there. From 12:00pm-4:00pm at Mullinex Park in Downtown Frederick, we will have a BBQ cookout, annual banner signing, tie dye, bracelet making, music, and more! This event is FREE and open to all ages. Come on down and celebrate with us on April 4th!

Beyond Strangers at FCC
"The difference between prejudice and empathy is knowing the whole story" so get to know the whole story through personal conversations with members of the LGBTQ+ community! From 11:30-1:30pm at FCC's Student Center on March 11th, community members are invited to engage in thoughtful and kind conversations that promote acceptance, understanding, and empathy. We hope to see you there!
